Greetings, Reader!
It's almost officially fall! I love this time of year, and the invitation to turn inward after the expansion of summer.
Autumn is a liminal space, and it asks us to trust that letting go will be in service to our future growth. I admire how easy it seems to be for the trees to release their hold on their leaves and concentrate their energy at their roots. Imagine if we had that level of trust in nature, and in ourselves.
We'll be exploring these themes in my upcoming Equinox Ritual next week, and I'd love for you to join us:

The Autumn Equinox invites us to gently release the things that have completed their purpose. This practice will include rituals and qigong forms to distill what matters most and build the courage needed to let go. |
One of the things I'm most looking forward to about autumn is getting to spend a long weekend in Asheville deepening my study of SomatoEmotional Release and CranioSacral Therapy. These practices have changed my life, and the courses I take not only give me an opportunity to nerd out and learn new skills, but to do my own deeper healing work so I can more powerfully serve others. Spending four days practicing also means I spend four days receiving these therapies, and every time I take one of these courses, I emerge feeling so deeply transformed and integrated. The benefits of several days of treatment in a row are multiplied exponentially compared to treatments that are spaced out.
I've been dreaming of holding that kind of container for you, Reader, and I'm starting to offer weeklong Somatic Healing Immersions to provide the time, space, and support for you to fully resolve and integrate what's at the core of your suffering.
For many people, receiving regular 60 or 90-minute sessions is just the right dose to support healing at the speed of the nervous system.
But, I've noticed that for some people who are carrying deeply rooted pain, trauma, or long-standing nervous system dysregulation, even weekly sessions can sometimes feel like trying to move a mountain one pebble at a time.
For one thing, it can be hard to stop and start. Just as your nervous system softens and opens, the session ends and the demands of daily life rush back in.
It also can feel hard to really let go if you don't feel like there is enough time to work through what comes up for you.
I've longed to offer an uninterrupted container: a sanctuary with enough time and spaciousness for your body to take its time unwinding, to transition without rushing, to reflect through writing or creative expression, and to move all the way through the process of release and reintegration.
I created the Somatic Healing Immersion because I know how powerful these practices are when you have the support and time to go deep into the process.
This offering isn't for everyone, and it isn't meant to replace the steady pace of ongoing care. Many people really benefit from progress that is built slowly and integrated over time. If that's you, stick with the 60- or 90-minute sessions spaced at a pace that feels good for your body.
But, a Somatic Healing Immersion could be a great fit for you if you:
- Struggle with dropping in and out of sessions because it always feels like you are starting over or are responding to what's come up that week without ever getting to the deeper levels;
- Feel that one-hour sessions aren't long enough to really drop-in, and you find yourself stopping mid-process, or not having time to really digest your experience;
- Feel stuck in talk therapy, intellectualizing your trauma rather than releasing it;
- Already have lots of insight and awareness, but need something to help you move beyond insight into embodied change;
- Are carrying the weight of a major life transition, grief, or burnout and need a something to jumpstart your healing.
- Are ready to move on, and don't want to spend months slowly working your way through the process.
This immersion is a highly focused week of compassionate, somatic care designed to take you out of chronic survival mode and usher you into deep release.
These immersions aren't about speed and intensity. Your body always sets the pace. The extended time offers you the safety, support, and space to go deeper without hurrying, giving your nervous system the breathing room it needs to get to the root and come to full resolution.
The Immersion Container Includes:
- 12 Hours of Hands-On & Integrative Care: Delivered across one immersive week in Vermont.
- CranioSacral Therapy: To gently release deep fascial restrictions and calm your nervous system.
- SomatoEmotional Release: To help your body safely process and discharge the physical imprint of pain and trauma.
- Spacious Transitions & Reflection: Dedicated time for integration and reflection so your insights land in your body before you step back into the world.
- Integration: To root the changes into your daily life, ensuring your nervous system retains its new capacity for ease.
These immersions offer focused, compassionate depth-work for those who are ready to get to the heart of the matter.
As James Baldwin said, "Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.” This process will enable you to move through the places where you’ve been stuck, and find yourself on the other side.
